Installed the new camera 2 weeks ago as my NEST IQ quit working. The new camera will notify us "Person Seen" when it hears a noise in the neighbors yard or on the street. Scary to receive an alert someone is in your backyard when it's not true. Any suggestions on how to fix? Thank You.
Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you. First off, I have some questions I’d like to ask you.
Do you still need help with this issue?
What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?
Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already?
If the restart didn’t work, have you tried to do a Factory Reset? This would be a last resort option, but would clear out issues and the device would essentially be ‘brand new’
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for the offer of assistance. The issue continues as I've learned to disregard the "Person Seen" alerts on my phone knowing they likely are noises caused by the wind or from across the street. I did try a restart with no change in performance.
Are you with Google et al?
Hi there, GeorgeS.
Yes, I am a Community Moderator over these Community Forums. I believe that you should be able to adjust your settings for alerts or even just the sensitivity. That may be all that you need to adjust to get less of those alerts. Please let me know if you need anything else regarding this issue.
Thank you for sharing your position with Google.
So how to do I get your assistance in resolving my issue as I see nothing within the Google Home app that let's me make adjustments. Within the Notifications, I have selected "Seen" notices for People, Animals and Vehicle. Motion has been turned off due to the camera seeing trees and other landscaping that moves with the wind.
I appreciate your help in resolving this issue for me.
