How to get alert for dog bark

I have an indoor, wired nest camera but only receive alerts for when an animal/person is detected. How do I setup alerts for dogs barking? Currently looks like only smoke/carbon monoxide alarms will be registered? Why?

Google Nest decided that its newer cameras and doorbells released starting in the fall of 2021 would work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app. As a result, "Sound" notifications are different between the older and newer cameras.

On older Google Nest cameras, you can get "Sound" notifications for Person Talking, Dog Barking, and All Other Sounds.

On the newer Google Nest cameras, you can get "Sound" notifications for Carbon Monoxide Alarm Sounds and Smoke Alarm Sounds.

A year ago, Google Nest's Vice President posted this explanation for their 2-app approach. There has been no update since.

Got my answer, but I’m definitely not happy about it. Terrible choice by Google. Wish I had purchased a different camera.
