How to make history longer than 3 hours with Google camera

We are new to Google cameras. We have the Google doorbell and nest recording through nest. Why won’t our Google cameras connect to the nest app? We want to be able to record longer than the 3 hours that the Google home app will allow. How do we do this? And why can’t we do it all on the Nest app?

Unfortunately, the 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells introduced starting n Sept. 2021 work only in the Google Nest app and not in the Google Home app.

If you have a 1st gen Nest Aware subscription, that subscription applies only to specific 1st gen cameras and doorbells that work in the Google Nest app.

If you cancel that subscription and instead get a 2nd gen Nest Aware subscription, that subscription will apply to all 1st gen and 2nd gen cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure", but you will have to use the Google Nest app to view history for 1st gen cameras and doorbells (unless you have "transferred" your cameras and doorbells to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app -- https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Expanded-support-rolling-out-all-Nest-Cams-can-transfer-...) and use the Google Home app to view history for 2nd gen cameras and doorbells.

You can see Nest Aware prices here:

https://store.google.com/product/nest_aware?hl=en-US&modal=upgrade-pricing

This is what you get with each subscription:
