How to setup the nest outdoor floodlight camera so the floodlights stay on dusk to dawn

I'm looking to replace my garage floodlight with a Google Nest wired floodlight camera.  I want the floodlight to stay on from dusk to dawn.  The camera should record motion events but not notify me.  I can't find any documentation on how to set that configuration.

This support article explains the google home settings but I don't see a way to set the floodlight to always on.

Hi there n8r_tot,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

Setting up your camera can sometimes be confusing, but don't worry, let's explore your options.

While the Google home app can currently only change the settings to turn on the floodlight when motion is detected, you can achieve this setting by creating two automations. One automation should turn the floodlights on, and the other will turn them off. Feel free to check out this article on how to Create and manage Routines for Google Home automations.

If you'd prefer not to receive notifications about motion detection events, you can adjust the settings in the Google Home app. This article about Camera and doorbell alerts will allow you to customize which notifications best suit your needs.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Angel.
