I can't add my google cam to my nest app. It does show up in my google home app just not in the nest

Unfortunately, as we found out over 3 years ago when we bought a 2nd gen battery camera, the 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells work only in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app. We've been using both apps ever since for our 1st and 2nd gen cameras.

If you get the "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app (which has been in "preview" mode for over 2 years), you can "transfer" your 1st gen cameras and doorbells from the Google Nest app to the Google Home app, but you'll lose many Nest app functions (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/13038234#zippy=%2Cnest-app-only-features).  So we're still using both apps.
