Curious if anyone has any tips to improve the recognition for the Nest cameras?
Our dog constantly gets identified as a person meaning the cameras go off all day long, running the batteries down for no reason. Our front doorbell also seems to think plants swaying in the wind is a person and keeps alerting us there is a person when there isn't.
Not sure what to do as this is so frustrating to be receiving pointless notifications all day long and have our batteries needing charging more frequently

Hello RebekahLea,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community. To enhance the recognition capabilities of your Nest Camera, consider utilizing Activity Zones. This feature allows you to define specific areas within the camera's view where motion should be detected. Additionally, disabling the "Motion on Seen Events" option will ensure that the camera only records when meaningful movement is detected, reducing false alerts.
Here are the steps to turn On Motion in the Seen Events settings.
1. Open the Google Home app.
2. Select the Doorbell or Camera.
3. Tap More > Settings > Events > Seen Events.
4: Under Events History, Turn Off Motion.
Let me know if you have additional questions.
Best,
Edmond
