The Doorbell (battery) does not get a IP address over DHCP with the latest version of mikrotik routers.
Looking at packet traces of old mikrotik versions that worked and new one the problem seems to be the order of Options in the DHCP OFFER packet. The old version always sent the Message Type (Option 53) first. The new one orders them by number (1,2,3,...). In that case the doorbell ignores the DHCP offer even though the order by options is not specified in the DHCP RFC.
The DHCP server of the new mikrotik device works flawless with all my other devices including older nest cameras and the original nest doorbell.

I have the exact same issue. My Nest Doorbell battery ignores the DHCP offer from my Mikrotik router. Glad I'm not the only one with this problem.
What earlier ROS version was working? I'm also on 7.3.1.

I wrote a mail to the mikrotik support and they sent me a dev version that fixes the issue to test and it worked. I think there will be a new release very soon.

Thanks mate. I tried 7.4beta4 and my RB5009 literally died. Took me about three hours to resurrect it, the bloody thing just refused to netinstall for ages.
I'll wait.

Thanks man! I was going crazy with this problem. I really hope they get that dev fix released soon.
Could you share it? 🙄

For anyone else with this issue, drop back to Mikrotik 7.2.3 and the issue is resolved.
