Replacement power cable Nest Cam IQ

Hello, 

 

Does Anyone have a replacement part umber or location to purchase a replacement nest IQ outdoor power cable 25 foot in length?   

I had a contractor accidently cut two cables.

Astonishingly, unlike Ring Arlo, Wyze, and Blink, Google Nest does not sell ANY spare parts for its cameras and doorbells, and instead tells customers to find a "third-party retail store".

This is just retarded, I have not even 2 years old camera and I cannot buy replacement cable for it, because it's discontinued product.

"Nest Cam IQ Outdoor Power Adapter" in Google Store is permanently out of stock. It's one big joke from customers.

If  you go onto ebay you can find people selling used ones and I think I have even seen some 3rd party replacements.  Just be careful and make sure  you get the one for the model camera you have.

Unfortunately I am retiring 2 nest iq outdoor cameras and will buying none google cameras.

 
It's not cool that google still has the cable I need listed in the online store, will not restock it.  False advertising much?

Hi Octive,  I think you are making a good decision to move on (Sorry Google).  Be sure to check out the cameras from www.eufy.com.   I have been buying some and I'm really impressed with the bank for the buck.  And the software is so well designed.  And get this.... if you call them you can get a real person on the phone typically under 5 minutes (again,  sorry Google).

Really aatienza?  I'm not trying to be difficult but I don't think the Google folks are working hard on this.  It has been 9 months and not a single feature (of any significance) from the Nest app has been brought to the Google Home app.  And where is the ability to view from a browser.

Thanks for replying aatienza,  Can't we get some kind of update in the timing of anything?  Or do we have to wait until December 31, 2022 to see what updates come out in 2022?  Why is this such a secret?  Many other companies (like apple) pre-announces all the new features and approximately when they will be coming out and they have public beta versions.  Why is this so hard for Google to do?    I'm only left to conclude that no one is working on fixed the Google Home app for security cameras.

Hey Archie,

I'm not sure if this is intentionally, but you did not answered any questions yet.

We still don't know:
- when Google Home app with have functionality of Google Nest app, namely preview of all cameras on one screen, access to recordings, website interface, access to history events (not just scroll)…?
- when/where we can buy power cable for Nest Cam IQ?

Yeah, sorry for the late reply.  No questions were answered.  

The false advertising of cables I require and the compatibility issues of the new product line.  Have killed the platform for me. 

I'm in the process of trashing the entire security system, and actively looking for an alternative vendor.
