Camera view issue-zoomed in and high

When I view the live feed it is zoomed in and high, if I view the past feed it is normal. I have tried zooming out, uninstall/reinstall of the app, and doing a little research it seems it has something to do with the enhance feature, but the button (camera controls) no longer seems to give that option and it is stuck like that now. How it ended up like that, I have no idea, most likely one of the few times I was in the middle of something and ended up juggling the phone for some reason.

The only thing I had not tried was going through the website, finally tried it, lo and behold, finally got to the setting. Enhance had been enabled and zoomed in a smidgen. Zoomed it back out full view again. Considering I have never been to the website, I feel like there was an option in either the nest app or home app at one point, I jumbled my phone, didn't realize it and then I got removed (probably for that reason) and didn't think the website would have more or different options. Anyway it is fixed now, thank you very much for your help.

If you have a Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) as indicated in your post, there is no "Enhance" feature that would explain what you're encountering. If you have a camera or doorbell that works in the Google Nest app and the camera is zoomed in using the "Enhance" feature, there should be a minus sign inside the four corners icon in the lower left corner in the Google Nest app (at least in the iOS version) and on the left side of the feed image on the home.nest.com website. You should be able to click on that icon to get out of the zoomed-in enhance view. If it is NOT zoomed in, there should be a plus sign that you can click on to enable the "Enhance" view.

This is Google Nest Help's page on zooming and enhance:
https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9251364?hl=en

So that link is where I learned about the enhance feature, and from the description that is what's happening, but I don't have the enhance features I'm guessing as I have never seen them or used them, but it is acting like exactly what is being described as enhance mode. If I could I would up load screenshots to better explain. When I view live, all I can see is the ceiling of the porch and few feet below it, when I see pictures from past for alerts it's the whole walk up to the door view and adjustments I can find to make

It's quite possible to accidentally trigger "Enhance" mode just by zooming; I've done it.  But this is ONLY possible on the older Google Nest Cameras that work in the Google Nest app and on the home.nest.com web page.  (The icon with the 4 corners and the minus sign doesn't display all the time; it depends on what part of the screen is active.)  However, if you have the new Google Nest Doorbell (Battery), then it works ONLY in the Google Home app and you do NOT have the "Enhance" capability and something else that I cannot explain is going on with your camera.

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I understand how frustrating your situation must be, and I would love to help however I can. I see that @MplsCustomer has been able to provide some information to you. I would agree that I think the Enhance zoom feature may have been turned on if you manually zoom using your two fingers, etc. on the mobile app.

Best Regards,
Brad

Thank you for responding, it reminded me to check through the website, which was the fix. If I pinch zoomed it only changed how zoomed in the new view was, not change the enhance feature. The fix was changing the zoom on the website through the enhance feature.
