Information before purchasing the battery-powered Nest Cam

Hello everyone, written from Italy, from Rome to be precise. 😊

I am about to buy several cameras for my home. I would like, please, the support of expert users.
The doubts are the following:

- If after many years the battery runs out completely and therefore ends its life cycle, is there a way to replace it or do I have to buy a new video camera?

- Is there a way to stay safe when you are home and turn off or black out the battery powered video camera? I understand that I can disconnect the wifi, but it is a bit inconvenient...

- How many cameras can I have in my system?

Thank you so much for your valuable support. 🤗

The battery in the battery camera is not designed to be user-replaceable.

I'm not sure what you mean by your second question. It is possible to turn off the camera in the Google Home app.

Google Nest had a limit of 10 cameras and doorbells in the Google Nest app, but there seems to be no limit for the 2nd gen cameras in the Google Home app or in a Nest Aware subscription.

We've had a battery camera since Sept. 2021, and are glad ours is plugged in with the optional power cable. Because it is plugged in, we get 24/7 recording with our Nest Aware Plus subscription and we don't have to worry about the camera not waking up from "Idle" mode to detect and record an event.

Ti ringrazio molto per la tua risposta 😊
