Interior Chime delay between two chimes for wired doorbell

Just installed a wired nest doorbell and everything seems to work great but the interior chime’s two “chimes” have a delay between the two (i.e. “ding”….a few seconds go by “dong”).

the connector seems to be fine and I played around with some settings and it seems like it may be related to the delay setting but I can’t get it back to normal.

Do you by any chance have the "Electronic chime" option turned on in your doorbell's settings? If so, turn it off.

Does your doorbell's transformer meet Google Nest's requirements?
