Hi,
When trying to add myself to my parent's Google home (so I can help monitor their Nest cameras) I get the message 'can't send invitation at the moment, try again. I tried again many times yesterday and today with different email addresses - still get the same message. Anyone have any ideas please?

I've seen other posts indicating this can occur when the person being invited as a home member doesn't have a gmail account. The Google Home app requires the use of personal gmail accounts.

Thank you! Makes sense why it’s not working but also makes absolutely no sense! Good old Google!

I'm pretty sure Mpls is correct in that it only works with Gmail accounts. But god-forbid they actually tell you that at the time you are doing it and instead issue an error message that is worthless at telling you the problem.

it also fails if the recipient is a GSuite Gmail account customer. it's only for Google consumer accounts. work around is to create a new Gmail just so you can join this nest group. that's what I did.
