Hi All, My apologies is this has already been asked (I did search the site but couldn't find an answer). I've just set up a Google Hello first generation doorbell (it was new a few years ago but not been set up /taken out of box previously). This is now all installed via the Nest app and transferred to the Google Home app. I would like to attach it to a nest mini to hear the doorbell chime in the house, but I'm not sure if I need to try and find an old/second hand first generation mini or if I'll be able to install a second generation mini and be able to hear the chime through that. Does anyone has the answer please? Thanks so much in advance

Our Nest Mini is 2nd gen, several years old, but I don't think the generation should make any difference.
You don't "attach" your Nest MIni to your doorbell. You just turn on the "Visitor announcements" option for your doorbell in the Google Nest app. Both your Nest Mini and your doorbell have to be in the same Google Nest "home/structure" on the same Google Account.

We have "Visitor announcements" (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451) turned on for all 3 of our Nest Hellos and get an announcement and a chime on our Nest Mini when any of the doorbell buttons are pressed.

Thanks, that's great, are your nest mini first or second generation? Or would ghe hello work with either generation?

Fantastic, that's what I needed, I'll just get the newer, more available model then. Thanks so much
