Hello!
I am having problems with the live streams from all my Nest Cams. When I try and see the live stream, all I am getting is a black screen with the message "Live video unavailable... Camera unavailable." (See the two screenshot).
I tried to turn off the camera on my app. And it is still not working.
Sometimes, I could hear the audio. But no video.
I got two Nest Cams in one house and two other Nest Cams in another house in another country. All four were working brilliantly until three days ago.
I would really appreciate your suggested solutions. As you can understand, we depend on these Nest Cams to improve home security. So far, Nest Cams and the Google Home app had been great.
(We are using for different Nest Cams (indoor, 2nd Gen) on Android phones with the best Fibre broadband service available).

Seems to be a serve side issue. A Lot of others are having the same problem.
10-12-2022 08:49 AM
Thanks for this swift response.
Good to know we are not the only one experiencing this problem.
But, would you tell me what is a "serve side issue"? Is there anything that we the users at home could do?
10-12-2022 08:57 AM
By that I mean it appears to be Google's issue and not the users.
10-12-2022 10:34 AM
Nothing for you to do. It is an issue on the Nest/Google side and they'll be the ones to fix.
10-12-2022 12:19 PM
It just worked again, something has been fixed in the servers side?
10-12-2022 08:50 AM
Experiencing the same problem. Toggled wifi router off/on, restarted cameras, power-cycled Pixel 6 Pro, updated Google Home. Nothing is working.
10-12-2022 08:53 AM
Thanks for sharing your own problems with this issue. Any idea as to what might be causing it?
One positive is that all the footage is available through 'Full History.' But, we just can't get any live video streams.

Not sure what's causing it, but Google appears to know it's an issue. I tagged Google in a Tweet about the issue and they responded they're aware of the outage and addressing the problem.

Hello tarikw,
I'm sorry to hear if you're still having the same issue. Let's check our options here. To confirm, what is the light status of your Nest camera? What type of Nest camera do you have? How far is it from the main router?
Give these steps a try:
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Emerson

I am having the same problem. It works on my iPad, but it won't work on my Pixel 6.
10-12-2022 09:19 AM
Same issue for me, doesn't work on my pixel 6pro but works on my girlfriend's one plus phone
10-12-2022 09:28 AM
I'm having the same issue. I cannot see the live feed but still get notifications. Reinstalled app and cameras, still nothing. I am also on the pixel 6.
10-12-2022 09:49 AM
I have a Pixel 6 too and same issues

Hi all,
I escalated this to our Community Specialist team just on the volume of posts.
Do you all have Android phones? What region are you located? Nest or Google Home app?
THANKS!

Android (Pixel 6 pro), Florida, and Google Home app - since the new cameras don't work in the Nest App.

This morning I updated the Google Home 2.59.33.2 now my newer Nest Cams will not load video. Only my older Nest Wired Doorbell works. I can hear audio for a few seconds but the video never loads. I tried reinstalling the app and rebooting my router but nothing helped.
10-12-2022 08:19 AM
Have the exact same problem, this sucks! Must be the software update.
10-12-2022 08:23 AM
Same problem here. Same steps taken without success.
10-12-2022 08:31 AM
Perhaps this is a problem on the Android version. We are on version 2.59.211 in iOS (from 6 days ago), and in Version History on the App store, there is no version 2.59.33.2; the prior version (from 2 weeks ago) was 2.58.104. Our access to loading videos has not changed.

I have the same problem. It work for Apple devices though... i also lost remote access to my Nest hub
10-12-2022 08:33 AM
Same problem here. It's definitely server-side. This is impacting four battery cameras in my network, whereas my old Nest Hello doorbell works just fine. I have done all troubleshooting steps possible (restarted router, even connected one of the cameras to the hotspot on my phone) to no avail.
Case ID 1-6685000033611 was created to be sent to the Engineering team for review.

I have the same problem. I lost all live video feeds on 5 of my cameras (two wired, three battery but plugged in). This is a problem for both my android device and my wife's android device, both Pixel 6 Pros. You can still view events in the history just no live feeds. I have rebooted everything, cameras, modems, wifi routers, turned off/on cameras within the app with no resolution.
10-12-2022 08:34 AM
This post attributes it to the Android 13 update:
10-12-2022 08:39 AM
I have still version 12, so not the reason for my case
