Migrating to Google to add a doorbell

I would like to add a doorbell to my nest app; however, I know the new doorbells must be added to google home.  When trying to migrate to google home, it says that the nest is already associated with a google account.  Is there a way for me to find which google account it is associated with?

If you are getting a message saying that your Google Account is already linked with another Nest Account, that means either that you previously migrated a Nest Account to your Google Account, OR that you have already installed Google Nest devices in the Google Home app using your Google Account.

If you already migrated your Nest Account to a Google Account, then you are using the "Sign in with Google" option to sign into the Google Nest app, using your Google Account, are logging into the Google Home app with your Google Account, and can see your 1st gen cameras and doorbells in the Google Home app.

If you have NOT migrated, but have already installed Google Nest devices in the Google Home app using your Google Account, this help topic describes the workaround that Google Nest recommends:

We migrated our Nest Account to a Google Account in 2020. Ever since then, we still install 1st gen cameras and doorbells in the Google Nest app (signing on using our Google Account and the "Sign in with Google" option), and we install 2nd gen cameras and doorbells (that cannot be installed in the Google Nest app) and Nest Hubs and Nest Minis in the Google Home app, using the same Google Account.

If I upload every Nest device I have on google, do I lose my subscription from nest?

In answer to your first question, I don't really know what you mean by "upload every Nest device I have on google".

We migrated in 2020, when we had only 1st gen cameras and doorbells, and purchased a 2nd gen Nest Aware Plus subscription, which covers ALL 1st gen and 2nd gen cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure". I don't know which subscription you have, but perhaps the price list will help you determine that:

In answer to your second question, if you are getting a message saying that your Google Account is already linked with another Nest Account, then it is probably the "Nest Account" that is linked to (unbeknownst to you) when you log into the Google Home app to access things like Nest Hubs, Nest Minis, Nest speakers, one model of Nest Thermostat, or 2nd gen cameras or doorbells.

If none of this makes sense, try contacting Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
