I have a Nest camera generation 1 which lost its QR code sticker and do not have the original box. We’ve moved and have a new WiFi system so are not able to set it up.
I’ve seen other posts that mention there is a printed/etched number directly on the device but there is definitely not one on this device—have checked several times.
I still have the old WiFi system so can hook that up and access the camera via the old network. Is there a way to get the required info to set it up in the new Google Home app? I saw a post that indicated there was a way to access it in the Google Nest app, but my understanding is that is no longer supported (replaced by Google Home app).
Thank you!

Is the QR code and 6-character alphanumeric Setup Code on the BASE of your 1st gen indoor camera by any chance?
The Google Nest app is still being supported. We still use it, though we've been logging in with a gmail account since 2020, when we migrated from a Nest Account to a Google Account.
If you can still use your old Wi-Fi system and log into the Google Nest app, you can see if you can go to Settings | Home info | Home Wi-Fi help, then select your camera, then select Start | Update Settings, as described here:
Hopefully, that will get your camera working on your new Wi-Fi network

Hello everyone,
@J-Mo, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. For gen 1, you need to use the Nest app for installation. You may see the set up key and QR code at the back of the actual Nest Doorbell (bottom part of the back). The setup code is below the QR code. Also, when connecting it to a different Wi-Fi network, it will require you to reset it to the factory default and make sure it has a blue light pulsing indicating that it's ready to connect.
To reset:
1. To remove your Nest Doorbell from its base, insert the release tool into the hole at the bottom of it. You can also use an unfolded paper clip or a thumbtack.
2. Hold down two buttons on your Nest Doorbell for about 10 seconds:
3. Your Nest Doorbell will chime and its light ring will start spinning blue, then flash yellow, and then all the lights will turn off. This is the time that you need to release the two buttons.
4.The factory reset is complete when your Nest Doorbell chimes and the light ring starts slowly pulsing blue.
5. After the factory reset, your Nest Doorbell will appear as "Offline" in the app until you remove it.
6. To remove it from the app: open the app, then tap Settings Remove device Confirm.
7. If you're giving your Nest Doorbell to someone else, you're done. If you want to reconnect your Nest Doorbell to the app, simply go through camera setup in the app again.
Looking forward to your response.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
Regards,
Emerson
