My outdoor nest web cam is not saving video history

When my camera detects activity, I get a notification and can view the video. However, after a short period of time, the video is gone from history. I've had the camera for over a week and no recorded events show in my history.

If you do not have the Nest Aware subscription, your video will be gone in 3 hours. Once you get an alert, you have 3 hours to view and save (download) the video event, if not, it is overwritten in a rolling 3 hour timed loop recording takes place. There are different Nest Aware subscriptions, I have the 30 day event storage Nest Aware plan, and it allows as many cameras, devices as you have, to store video under the one plan. I have 6 cameras and a Nest Hello, and I can view any event back 30 days. Plus you get other features, like package, people and vehicle detection.

Hey there,

I am glad to hear that you are interested in subscribing to Nest Aware! If you have any of our Cameras or Doorbells, I would definitely suggest you get a Nest Aware subscription! I'd love to provide you with some helpful links explaining what it's all about.

Here is a great link on how Nest Aware works and how to subscribe, and here is a link on how to manage your subscription.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
