I'm trying to figure out how to get either playback on my Mac/PC to screen record 20 minutes of video history or to create clips on the google home app. I have a flood light camera that i'm starting frustratingly starting to learn has zero purpose.
I can't see the floodlight video in my nest app, only google home.

As MplsCustomer said you can not currently do what you want on the PC or Mac. However this might work for you.
#1 Make sure you are running the Google Home version 3.10.103. On an iPhone you can tell by going into the APP STORE and searching on GOOGLE HOME. Scroll down until you see the app and then select it so you can see the version number. This is what mine looks like (see screen shot below):
#2 Make sure you sign up for the PUBLIC PREVIEW version (if you are not already this can take a few days for Google To Activate). You can tell if you are on the this version by going into the Google Home app and from the main screen select the GEAR in the lower right corner. Scroll all the way to the bottom and see if it say PUBLIC PREVIEW (see screen shot below)
#3 (final step). Next go into your recorded footage and fine the start of the clip you want to save. Then hit the 3-lines in the lower right corner and you should see a SAVE CLIP button. Then you will see an option to select the clip length. It will let you select up to 5 minutes. Since I have the Nest AWARE PLUS my camera records 24/7 and saving 5 minutes works great. I don't know what happens if you only have Nest AWARE which only records clips. This will then save the clip to the iPhone photos album. If you do 4 of them you will have your 20 minutes. (see screen shot below)
I hope this helps.

Unfortunately, the Google Home app does not provide the ability to manually select and download a clip from a camera's video history, and the floodlight camera works only in the Google Home app. The only thing you can try is to use your camera's video capture capability to capture the video while you're playing it in the Google Home app.
It's one of numerous features missing in the Google Home app:

Glad to hear it worked. I'm hoping that Google will give us the ability to export clips from Home.Google.Com soon. But they have not announced anything specific.
