Nest Aware 2nd gen account support

Rubicon78

I already have Nest Aware 1st gen, and a personal G-Suite email that I administer.

I cannot upgrade to 2nd gen with that email. I will not create and manage a separate email account just for my cameras.

Either:

1. Stop requiring a google account

2. Support G-Suite accounts

3. Fix the app so that it stops bugging me to upgrade to something that you refuse to support.

If one of these three actions is not taken soon, I will throw away the cameras and get Ring and Ecobee. Obviously, I'll also stop recommending the products as well.

You're not being a good company right now Google.

Hi there,

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I can definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be. I would love to help you find a solution to this issue.

I am afraid that G Suite is not supported at this time. If you wish to continue using your devices with Nest Aware, it will need to be on a personal account. I understand this is an inconvenience to you and how you may use your devices and services, and I would feel the same way too if I were in your shoes. All I can do here is forward your feedback for you.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.

I did see the reply, but it was not helpful. I have two additional cameras I bought a month ago that are just sitting on the table and about to be thrown in the trash.

It's completely ridiculous to have to dismiss these "friendly reminders" to upgrade every time I go to check my thermostat or see who is at the door. Why can these messages not be permanently acknowledged or disabled for customers who do not want to change their existing services?

I guess it's all my privacy or nothing from Google, huh?

I'm giving it a few more weeks until I'm likely out of patience. I'm sure other vendors are going to heave great holiday sales.
