Nest Cam Floodlight Stops Working After Opening New Web Interface

After I started using the new web interface for Google Home (home.google.com) my Nest Cam with Floodlight and Nest Hub Max camera stop working in the Google Home app. I am still able to view my Nest Hub Max camera in the Nest app so I know that it's still actually recording, it just isn't working in the Google Home app and shows as (Offline). It's a similar story with my floodlight camera since the green recording light is still on as if it's working, but I can't confirm that in the Nest app since Google has fragmented the ecosystem with some devices working in one app but not the other. I've had some luck getting the Nest Hub Max camera to work again by turning off it's recording, and then turning it back on. However, I'm not able to do the same thing with the floodlight camera since it doesn't work in the Nest app. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it working again? It suddenly stopped working October 27th at midnight if that's helpful at all.

Hello LukeDirigo,

 

Thanks for posting and I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your Nest cam with floodlight. You may try to perform a simple restart to the actual Nest camera so that it would reestablish its connection to your Wifi network.

I have had a similar problem with my nest floodlight cam.  My camera stopped recording and is no longer visible in the google home app.  All of my other cameras are fine.  I am able to control the floodlight but when I try to view video I get a message saying "Live video unavailable.  The camera may be unreachable or saving battery."  The camera is hardwired to power and is located very close to my wifi source.  I don't know if it's related to using the web interface, but I did not have this problem until I tried using the web interface last week.  I have already tried restarting the camera, router, etc.  Please help.

Hey there. Mine suddenly started working again about a week later. I did absolutely nothing different prior to it working again so I assume Google must have fixed something on their end. Is yours working again?

thanks Luke Brad and Ebedia.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the camera in my google home app and it did not immediately fix the problem but then the camera started working a day later.  Then a few days later (during a rain storm) it stopped working again. 

I uninstalled and reinstalled the camera a second time.  It did not work immediately, but then within a day it  started working again.  I don't fully understand what is going on but at the moment it appears to be working again.

After working for 2 days my camera stopped working again.  "Live video unavailable.  The camera may be unreachable or saving battery."  All my other cameras are working fine.   The floodlight works fine, but the camera will not record video.
