Nest Cam On/ Off - w assistant

The nest cams are the only smart devices I have that I cannot seem to turn on/ off with Google Assistant or with routines. They need to be turned on and off manually in the app.   

Am I missing something? Is it possible, or will this be a future feature?

Not currently an available feature unfortunately. I assume this is because the cameras are designed to be an "always on" device being a security focussed device. This is mostly a user to user community, therefore if this is important to you, I’d encourage you to also send this feedback directly to Google. You will not receive a response, unless Google need more details from you, however the team are still reading the feedback.
