Hello,
Since a couple of weeks my Nest cam charges very slowly, like +15h for a full recharge.
Also I've noticed that my battery won't last that long.
I've already did a factory reset and it didn't help
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

We are having a similar issue. New outdoor Camera lasted about 3 months before it needed its first charge which was great. First issue is the ac adapter that came with it doesn’t seem to work. Used a different one that we had on hand and saw it started charging. Took a long time to charge but said it was fully charged. Put it back outside and literally the next morning it’s already at 50%?? It also goes offline all the time. It’s not a temperature issue or being too far from the Wi-Fi. So disappointed in this camera.

Mine went offline this week... Without a reason.
Love the design and the functionality but the quality is lacking!

Hi everyone,
Thanks for posting. I apologize for the inconvenience — let's get this sorted out.
@MaxenceH, are you using the provided cable and adapter to charge the Nest cameras? What is the outside temperature where the Nest camera is installed? How long does the battery usually last?
@EKD71, have you also done a factory reset on your Nest camera?
Let me know, and I’ll be happy to help.
Best,
Lance

Hi Lance!
Yes, I'm using the original cable and adapter.
Outside temp is now around 25°, a little less of a little more.
Without too much activity I get maybe 3 weeks on a single charge.
Best regards

Hi Lance,
we have not tried that yet. Will give it a shot and let you know. Thank you!

Hello everyone,
Thanks for getting back to me.
@MaxenceH, hmmm, is that 25°F or 25°C? The batteries in the Nest Cam (battery) and Nest Doorbell (battery) have the following minimum temperature requirements:
At temperatures between -4°F (-20°C) and 32°F (0°C), the battery can still power your device, but it won’t charge. It may also drain more quickly than usual. At temperatures close to -4°F (-20°C), your battery may have less than half the life that it has in warm weather. More information here.
@EKD71, that sounds like a plan! Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Lance

Hi Lance,
Forgot to mention, it's 25°C so shouldn't be a problem.
