Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery) initial Wi-Fi setup not working (light never turns blue)

I'm in the US and trying to set up my Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery) in the Home app of my Pixel 6. I have a 1 GB Wi-Fi setup and a mesh network throughout the house so signal is not an issue anywhere. I'm in step 1 of the setup ("Plug in your camera indoors"). After plugging it into power and the light on the front of the cam is blinking white, it states "Once it turns blue, leave it plugged in and proceed to the next step." The issue is that it never changes to blue and just continues to blink white. If I click "Next" and try to proceed with the setup, it never completes the "Connecting" step and the error message says "Make sure your Nest Cam (battery) is on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone" but as this is a brand new cam I have no idea how it is expected to be connected to any network?? I've tried to factory reset the cam (holding button on rear for 5 seconds until it chimes and goes solid white) but this hasn't made any difference. I'm having the same issue with my Nest Cam with floodlight (wired) which I'm trying to set up. This all seems very buggy and like Google just pushed out shiny-looking products which have not been tested. Looking for confirmation that others are encountering this same issue and if there is a fix or workaround?

Finally figured it out! Hold the rest button longer than 5 seconds and you'll get a yellow light and chimes. Now your camera is truly reset. Hope this helps someone!

Hi, I get the yellow light, but it stays on yellow then. Still can't get it to turn blue so I can actually set up the camera

Can anyone advise me on my issue with this camera .  I am trying to reset it after not having used it for awhile (we had different wifi etc .  i have followed all the suggestions and recommendations, currently it is slowly blinking at me with a white light and it wont change to blue.  I have it sitting on its side without the magnetic back, however i happened to just sit it on top of the magnetic bracket and the light turned green which would suggest it was all collected.  However the light stays green but I cannot see it in my devices on the google home app.  I have done the normal turn on then off as well as a 5 second reset and then lastly the increased time reset as per the above author suggested ..  please advise as i have a few of these and its an expensive waste of money to not have them working as well as the nest subscription.

update  - I actually had to hold the button down for 12 seconds on one of the cameras and 10 seconds for the other, you actually need to hold it down past the first yellow and beep then release - its quite a bit more than the 5 secs

@Charliebringo, we appreciate your update. How did it go? Were you able to add it back to your Google Home app? Looking forward to your response.

@EmersonB

I have bought the Nest Cam (battery). I have tried to properly reset it according to the info, but that doesn't seem to work.
