Google Home App does not have a full keyboard for entering the Matter #. I need to enter both numbers and characters and the Google Home App does not allow - numbers only

First I would like to thank you for posting in our community page, on the other hand I apologize for the inconvenience that you are having with the Google home app. You're right, the Google Home app currently doesn't offer a full keyboard for Matter device setup. There are two workarounds depending on the specific step requiring the Matter number:
Scan QR Code (if available): This is the easiest method. If the Matter device comes with a QR code, you can use the Google Home app to scan it. This should automatically add the device without needing to enter any number manually.
Check Device Manual or App: The Matter number might be required during the initial setup with the device's own app (not Google Home). Consult the device's manual or app to see if it offers a way to complete setup without needing the number in the Google Home app.
If neither of these work, it's possible the Matter number you have might be incorrect. Double-check the information that came with your Matter device.
