SSI, Nest Cam with Floodlight - no light controls in home app on android running on a pixel. Cannot dim, turn off or on. Not sure if there is more to explain.
Would expect basic functionality this product.

Are you missing the brightness, timer, and sensor options described on the page below? These settings are separate from the camera's settings.

I'm trying to simply turn on the flood lights at will.

We have just the battery camera, and when I search for a control on how to turn the floodlight on and off manually, I get mixed results. Some customers say you cannot, others say you used to be able to do so, and still others say they had to get their camera replaced. But there's nothing in Google Nest's Help on this.
You could try contacting Support, using the link and instructions in this post:
Or maybe another floodlight customer will chime in. It seems like a pretty basic function.

Hello everyone,
@fsultan, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To change the brightness of your floodlights, you need to go to your Google Home app and select the Lights> select your Nest Camera with floodlights> tap the light option below the label of your Nest cam with floodlights then slide the slider to change the brightness.
To change the settings of the floodlights, from the home page of your Google Home app, select your Nest Cam with floodlights and go to settings> Floodlight> What turns on the floodlight> you'll see all the options there.
To learn more, you may visit our public article about "Change floodlight settings".
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

So this means a customer cannot simply turn the floodlight off and on at will? (The lights, not the camera.)

When i say "OK Google, turn on floodlights " or " .. driveway camera floodlights", etc, I expect the lights should come on ...

Hi fsultan,
Thanks for getting back to us. To turn on your floodlights on and off at will, you need to go to Settings> Floodlight> What turns on the floodlight> Toggle on or off the Live viewing option. Voice commands for turning on or off the floodlights are not available, I'd suggest you send yours with our Send Feedback form to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this
Best,
Emerson

I think your reply confirms that a customer CANNOT simply turn the light on the floodlight camera on and off at will.

Hey MplsCustomer,
Thanks for replying. I understand if it's too confusing. The users can turn on and off their floodlights at will. They just have to follow the steps I've provided above or they can visit our public article about "Change floodlight settings".

Hello fsultan,
I appreciate your update and for sharing here the screenshot of your device information. However, the Floodlights option can be found on the settings of your Nest Camera with floodlights.
Try these steps:
Open your Google Home app> select your Nest Cam with floodlights> Settings> Floodlights> What turns on the floodlights> Live viewing.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Emerson

Hello everyone,
@fsultan, Thanks for sharing the screenshot on your Google Home app. Usually, you will see these settings on the Google Home app if the Nest camera battery was selected during the setup process. There will be a prompt in the Google Home app: “What are you setting up? "After you scan the QR code or enter the entry key code, you have to select Nest Cam with Floodlight. Please have your Nest Camera factory reset and let us know if you still have the same settings on the Google Home app. Here is a link on how to restart or factory reset your Nest camera or doorbell.
Thanks for the help, @Emerson.
Let me know if that helps.
Best,
Edmond
