Nest Cam with floodlight

Our electrician just connected our two nest cams with floodlights, one is working perfectly. The other has power and floodlights turn on but the camera will not. There are no color lights turning on the camera. Not sure if the camera is just dead? When we press the little reset button on the camera nothing happens?

That's odd. Is the USB plug seated firmly in the bottom of the camera (other customers have posted about problems with this) with the power cable feeding towards the FRONT of the camera.

For a factory reset, you have to press the reset button for at least 12 seconds:

Yes I double checked… I’m getting nothing

If you're just dead in the water, you may have to try contacting Support; perhaps one of your two cameras is defective.

(We've had a battery camera, which is basically the same camera, for almost 20 months now, and it works fine [except that we have to use the Google Home app for it].)

The camera was just defective… swapped in a new outdoor camera and it came right on. Thank you

Hi there,

I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you, but I'm glad that it all sorted out. If your Nest Camera is newly purchased, you can return it at your point of purchase so you can get the replacement on time. If you have further questions or concerns, please let us know. Otherwise, I'll be locking this thread after 24 hours.

I appreciate your help, @MplsCustomer and JT.

Best,

Jenelyn
