I just bought a Nest Camera Indoor 2nd Gen figuring it would work just like the Nest Camera Indoor 1st Gen I bought for my parents with the ability to view from the web. Viewing from the phone works some of the time, but I work in a location where you can't have cell phones. I need to be able to check on our new dog from the web. I've seen a number of post going back a while with no response from Google until they close the thread for no activity. Come on Google you can do better than that. You had the capability with the 1st Gen Cameras. I pay for the Nest Aware subscription, so its not like I'm asking for something for nothing. Please restore the previous capability or at least have the decency of a reply other than closing the thread for no activity.
Thanks, Scott

I just saw a posting yesterday from Google where they will be releasing a new website soon that will allow you to access all of the Google Home capability from the web. This will include all of the cameras. When they do this, it will resolve my issue.

Google Nest chose to make its new Google Nest cameras and doorbells work ONLY with the Google Home app and NOT with the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website.
A year ago, Google Nest's Vice President posted this explanation. There has been no update since:

Hey there psu90,
That's some good timing then, I'm glad that will help out! In that case, do you have any more questions or need any additional help?
Thank you,
Jeran

This resolves it from my standpoint. Hopefully others with the same need as I have will find this thread. In case they do, the address for more information on the coming web feature is home.google.com.
Thanks,
Scott

Hey there psu90,
No problem at all! There will be a Public Preview soon for Google Home for Web, so keep an eye out for it! For now, I'll go ahead and lock the thread. If you have any more questions in the future, please feel free to create a new thread.
Have a good one!
Best regards,
Jeran
