Nest Camera Battery

My camera keeps clicking, while the green light pulses and the view cycles between b/w and colour.  Any thoughts anyone? Thanks

We've had a battery camera for over 3 years (plugged in), but this seems odd. It sounds like the mechanism for night vision is stuck.

Perhaps you could try turning your camera off and then back on again in the Google Home app.

If that doesn't work, you could try contacting Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

I've also had the same model of camera for several years too.  This one's in a new location on a new 'Home' setup.  I've switched off and on and it looks more stable.  Tks for your help.

Hi AJSh,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand your Nest camera is clicking while the green light pulses, and the view cycles between black and white and color. I know how difficult it is when your Nest camera begins clicking. I'm here to help! To gather more details, I'd like to ask the following questions:

  • What's your Nest camera device model? Please check out the following link for your reference: Technical specs for Nest cameras and doorbells
  • When did you first notice this inconvenience?
  • Has the camera been exposed directly to the sun?

Let me know if you have any additional information; it’ll be helpful.

Best regards,
Juan
