My two new Nest Cam Wired is not recording sound events or triggering notifications.
For example dog barking, police/fire/ambulance sirens etc. or my meth addict neighbor stealing catalytic convertors from the neighbor's car.
My Nest Cam Outdoor IQ does.

I just bought a Google Nest Indoor (2nd Gen) and am not seeing any sound notifications. After many hours with various customer support reps, I was only given links to articles like https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9233159#zippy=%2Cnest-cam-indoor-nest-cam-outdoor-dropc...that say "Dog barking alerts" is covered under Nest Aware + Nest Cam Indoor. However, I have no sound/heard events on my account. Customer support reps have connected to my account twice and neither time has resulted in any actionable tasks for me.
Are sound/heard events supported on Google Nest Indoor (2nd Gen)?

Sound detection recognizes certain important categories of sounds, like a dog bark or a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm. It can distinguish between these sounds and other loud sounds you might hear.
Note: Sound detection is only available on Nest Cam (wired), Nest Cam (battery) with wired setup, and Nest Cam Indoor 2nd gen.

I have a nest indoor cam 2nd gen and still have never seen a sound events on my account. After numerous support calls, and months of experience with this device with Aware subscription, I feel I can conclude this product just does not work as advertised or as documentation describes.

I am sorry to hear that you have had a poor experience! Please share your feedback on the Nest or Google Home Apps so we can collect your feedback. I wish that I had a solution to this issue, but if anything have you looked into a replacement option for this device if it may be faulty? I wouldn't be able to look into that for you i'm afraid, but I know support could.
