Nest Camera - wired

What is the acceptable voltage range for a Nest wired camera?     As in what is the minimum voltage required for it to work, and what is the maximum voltage before it fries?     I realise that the tech specs just say "7.5W USB-A" which implies 5V nominal VCC required, but need to know the absolute min and max VCC levels allowed.    The reason for this is that I want to use an existing cable built into the fabric of the building and will need to inject power at one end - allow for voltage drop due to the length of cable - plug camera into the other end.

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I can definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed.

  • I have an article that goes over tech specs for these cameras. Take a look for yourself and explore a bit more about the Nest Cam (wired).

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.

That's doesn't help I'm afraid, and I reference that in my original question.
