Nest Cameras all went offline June 5th at the same time

Hello,

I have 5 nest cam battery and a nest doorbell. All hardwired. On June 5th around 9pm EST all of my cameras went offline. The doorbell still works. Yet since then I have not been able to get these devices back online. Anyone else have this bug with the latest update? Really upsetting me because I’ve been having a lot of issues with the WiFi pro and now the cameras add to the drama. Everything else functions on my network as intended. Speeds are great. Any one else experiencing this?

I talked to Google today.

Its a known bug thats been going around the last two weeks, it dont affect everyone… Google say it will be online by itself when they fix it, but dont know when that will be!

Similar with my camera. Have deleted it and tried to re install. No way will it reinstall, even after a factory restart. I have a blue blinking light, but the app will not reconnect

I have now reset two wired Nest cameras and readded them. They are back online with access to live feed and running latest software version 1.67. However a reset does mean that all data from before the reset is no longer available.
I have a support ticket open as I do not wish to reset my doorbell and lose all previous data, so I'm hoping that they will have a fix for where a reset and loss of data is not an option.

I just did also a factory reset, it's still not working. Google Nest Outdoor Cam on Battery.

Ah, mine are wired Google Nest indoor cameras, so appears that results of resetting may be different between camera models.

A lot of different threads with the same issue. Glad I came on here before trying to factory reset everything. Let’s hope an update is coming soon.

FYI: My cameras are back online (with no direct intervention, aka factory resets).
Software Version is reporting: nq-user 1.67 OPENMASTER 361459

Today at the same time in the Google home app all three camera’s I have went offline and live footage can’t be viewed.

Google battery doorbell - still provides alerts (doorbell pressed, person detected etc) but within the Google home app live footage can’t be viewed, states camera offline

Google Nest hub max - live footage can be seen through the Nest app (I.e camera connected and working) however in the Google Home app live footage can’t be viewed and indicates camera is offline

Google floodlight and camera - in the Google Home app live footage can’t be viewed and indicates camera is offline

Seems to be a Google Home issue, any fixes on getting these working again?

@stussysoil

I've seen other reports from customers reporting the same thing this morning; they seem to be customers in Europe.  See below.  Maybe you just wait to see if Google Nest resolves it.

Ours are okay (in Minnesota, USA).

Same here (Italy)

Resetting the camera doesn’t help. Seems an issue of the Home app.

Same - Poland.
Factory reset helped for 2 hours.

Same here in NL, did not try to factory-reset yet, hoping google will fix remotely.. Come on guys!

Same here. I'm in the UK. I've reset the camera multiple times, but don't want to factory reset just yet.

Every time I reset I seem to get one notification, but the app keeps saying camera offline. Even when it's right next to the router.

Im in uk and have the same problem from this morning.  Camera doorbell is offline, we can't see live streams but still able to view the history.  Tried to reset but didn't help . We don't want to do factory reset just yet .....🙄

It'll be linked to the botched farce that was the new look Home app, as always an abomination from Google and radio silence from them.

Then they'll lock the threads down as to control the bad publicity.

Same here in the UK... And since tonight all my other nest cams are affected... Great feeling if you're on a holiday away from home... Next protect? More like Nest bugs without fix or acknowledgement

Sadly matey it's all gone downhill since the abomination of the Home update a week or so ago.

We're just the crash test dummies for their incompetent so called upgrades and then no response from them online

Same here, doorbell started showing offline yesterday.  A hard reset fixed it for me, at least for a while. Overnight my 2 nest cam battery's went showing offline. All 3 on 1.67 software.

Yeah 1.67 "OPENMASTER" seems to be the culprit. 😞

I am having the same issue in the UK this morning with battery doorbell and two floodlit cameras (Software version 1.67-OPENMASTER). My indoor camera (Software version 1.65-OPENMASTER) which I only switch on for holidays seems to work fine when I switched it on.  I have tried removing my doorbell from network and tried re-adding using QR code but doesn't recognise it

After a hard reset (+-20 seconds reset button) I could add my doorbell again with qr code (no more history tho). It's on 1.67 and working now. Also my indoor cam is on 1.67 and working.

This issue also happening in Finland.

Google support on twitter acknowledged that they are experiencing this issue... I'd suggest flooding them with messages there and via the app

Or via support chat

Don't even bother trying the support chat, I was stuck in a queue for 2 hours and didn't even move 1 place.

I just opened a chat on my phone and went about my way. Got a notification when an agent was available. Otherwise u could probably register a ticket trough the support site. But don't expect a fix, see it as a way to let them know how many customers are affected or something.

I got that fed up, I factory reset all 3 cameras which did the trick, but lost all history.,

Make sure you remove from google home first as it didn't let me add them again until they were removed.

It worked for my doorbell but I think I've seen messages stating  a factory reset didn't solve it. If it's a firmware bug it might just come back soon.

Doorbell has stopped displaying live feed in app, but still recording

Same problem in Denmark. I have cam at home, and three cameras at work. The one at home is offline and one out og three at work is also offline.

Same here in UK, it suddenly went offline, but it can record video and can have notification to nest hub and phone when someone press the bell

Same here in the Netherlands. The doorbell records but shows no live images

I've been experiencing the same issue since yesterday, but my camera (Nest Cam battery, but plugged in) is now online again in the app! 🎉 It's not working on https://home.google.com/ but I can live with that.

Mmm interesting... Doorbell and one of the indoor cams of my 5 cams is not working yet

Our plugged-in battery camera and our 2nd gen indoor camera are NOT working today on the home.google.com website (says "Can't load video") but ARE available in the Google Home app, in Minnesota, USA. All of our older cameras and doorbells are functioning normally.

All 3 back online l, no thanks to Google for an update though eh.

Poor Comms and customer service from them with this incompetence.

For the second day, our plugged-in battery camera and our 2nd gen indoor camera are NOT viewable on the home.google.com website (says "Couldn't load video") but ARE available in the Google Home app, in Minnesota, USA. All of our older cameras and doorbells that are installed in the Google Nest app ARE viewable on home.google.com.
