Nest Cams migration to Google Home App ?

Can one migrate Nest Cams now functioning on the Nest App to the Google Home App ?

You can migrate your Nest Account to a Google Account (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9297676). We did so almost 3 years ago.

However, our older Google Nest cameras and doorbells that were installed in the Google Nest app still only have partial functionality in the Google Home app, and full history for these cameras and doorbells is still viewed in the Google Nest app.

I migrated from Nest to Google a few years back as well and there are (2) unhappy surprised that happen.

#1  You can ONLY use a gmail email account.  if you are using anything else it won't work.

#2 You loose the ability to have motion alerts sent to your email address. It becomes App-only based alerts.
