Nest DoorBell QR Code broken

The setup instructions say to open the Google Home App and scan the QR code either on the back of the product or the insurrections, neither work. The QR code does not register at all from either one, no matter the distance no matter the lighting. If trying through the iPhone camera app it’ll only initiate a google search for a random long string of numbers and letters. When in the home app, if you try to use the manual setup process it says to type the 8 digit number on the device or setup instructions and there isn’t any. The back of the device has a long string of letters and numbers, then a QR code, then a 6 digit string of letters and numbers underneath.

Will have to return this product since there’s no way to set it up. Any help here?

Wow! I was using the iPhone Home app not the Google Home app, somehow I missed this and feel like a major head slap.

I’m in the same boat. Took me to an academia link.

So frustrating, there’s legit nothing else you can do to set it up.

I was able to get mine working I did a factory reset and scanned the QR code again. That worked for me

Factory reset of your phone? The QR code doesn’t register or prompt anything at all on the Google Home app is what I’m saying; factory resetting the doorbell itself wouldn’t change the printed QR code on the side of it that does nothing.

Im going through the same thing ! I also am an  iOS user. I downloaded the google home app two days ago and the camera worked fine . I went back today once it was installed camera offline not recognizing the qr code nor my wi fi . Nothing about my home network changed

The issue with mine is that the QR code on the side does nothing, the Google Home app doesn’t see it as anything; attempted on 2 different phones. The QR code and numbers printed on the actual doorbell or associated documents are broken and incorrect codes.
