Nest Doorbell Peeling

My Doorbell (which is placed in a shaded location) started peeling about a month ago. After considering replacing it with a competitor as it is out of warranty I started researching options to repair & realized this is a VERY common known issue with the device. I am a current Nest Aware subscriber & I am reaching out on here with the hope of expediting a resolution related to my defective Nest device.

Mine has the same, in direct sunlight though. 
Friend of mine has the same in the shade. 

Really disappointed. I was hesitant to purchase for fear of this happening.

Hi Lance,

What email address should I be looking for? I have been checking my email several times a day & haven’t seen anything come from you guys. I’ve searched keywords as well including Nest, Doorbell, Hello, Google, Support to make sure I’m not over looking anything & haven’t received anything since I filled out the form last week.

Good question. Please check your Gmail inbox, spam, or junk folder for an email from the Google Nest Customer Care Team with the subject “Your Google Support Inquiry: 6-4023000034996.” Just reply to that email with the requested information so the support team can help you further.

Looks like it's happening to mine as well😭. Never been in direct light always covered by a shaded  patio and trees. Not sure who to contact regarding this matter.
