Nest Doorbell Pro (Wireless) - Silicone cover/anti theft case

Hello,

Apologies if this does not belong here. I have just purchased a Nest Doorbell Pro Model: GA02268GB but I am struggling to find an appropriate case/silicone cover on the net and do not want to buy the incorrect one and have to go through returns etc.

I have seen a video showcasing the GA01318-GB doorbell compared to the pro and appears to be smaller than the Pro GA02268GB...

Can anyone please assist or direct me on an example of the correct case I'd be looking for?

Sorry for my bad English!

I've never heard of a "Nest Doorbell Pro". We have three 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbells--installed in the Google Nest app--and have silicone "skins" (from Amazon) for two of them because the black face on the doorbells started to peel and flake.

The two 2nd gen Google Nest doorbells (the 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell and the 2nd gen Google Nest Battery Doorbell) are both larger than the 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell: https://store.google.com/us/product/nest_doorbell_specs.

This is the size of the 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell: (which is no longer sold in the United States) https://store.google.com/ie/product/nest_doorbell_wired_specs.

I tried searching briefly for silicone skins for 2nd gen doorbells, and could find nothing for the 2nd gen Google Nest Battery Doorbell, and just one for the 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell (https://www.elago.com/products/silicone-case-for-google-nest-hello-video-doorbell-wired-2nd-gen-2-co...), and even this one refers to it as a Nest Hello, which it is NOT.

Hello both, thanks for your response. I understand the issue about finding the "pro" model, this is being advertised by City Plumbing UK, Screwfix, Argos and another site (can't remember the name) I also found a video on YouTube comparing 2021 and 2022 model (the one I have I think) and it's considerably bigger than the 2021 and doesn't have the 2 horizontal lines on the lens.

Here's some pictures for reference

Yours seems to be the 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell, but I didn't know it was being sold in the UK yet. The "Pro" version seems to be just a branding for the version sold by installers.

The specs link I provided says the 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell is 131 mm x 42 mm, and the elago case/skin in the link I found says the case is 135 mm x 45.5 mm. But I don't know whether that case is appropriate; for example, does it cover the infrared (IR) lights used for night vision?

Our doorbells are the older (and smaller) Google Nest Hello Doorbells, and the skins we found do NOT cover up the infrared lights used for night vision.

Google Nest does not give much prominence to model numbers. I'm familiar with just 3 models of Google Nest doorbells, though most have gone through more than one iteration, branding, and naming:

1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell
2nd gen Google Nest Battery Doorbell
2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell

By any chance do you have a doorbell made by RING and not Google Nest?

Over here in the U.S. I'm pretty sure the "Pro" model is the exact same hardware but because it is installed into your home by a "Professional" person I think they just give you a better warranty and better support when you need it.

OH, one more thing.  Over here in the states they sell (2) different versions of the doorbell.  One is (battery) and the other is a WIRED version.  The wired one is larger in size.   As a side not the battery only version is not very well liked by most people as it tends to miss a lot of motion events.

@EmptyNester

I believe it's the battery version that is larger.

Oppps, yes you are correct. Thanks for pointing that out.

Hello again, thank you both for your expertise and help. I'd like to clarify that this model I got does indeed have the horizontal lines either side of the lens, I got confused.

I thought I'd just take a punt at a skin I found on Amazon, I can confirm that this fits my model perfectly and for anyone wondering:
