Wired Gen 1 Doorbell was notifying me normally up until 2 days ago. Now it doesn't notify when it detects people, or when the bell is rung.
I have factory reset the doorbell & re-added it to Nest and Home apps. I can see the camera and talk through the speaker. I still have all notifications enabled, but they're no longer notifying me on my phone.
I confirmed that my phone is able to receive Nest notifications from other devices (lock, etc.). It's only the doorbell that stopped notifying.
(I had to select "casting issues" category even though this isn't a casting issue, because you don't offer the correct category.)
I read another thread where someone mentioned that even the wired doorbell has an internal battery, which can die. This is a fairly old doorbell. Is replacing the doorbell my only option now?

Hi there!
Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience that you’ve been experiencing with your Nest Doorbell 1st generation. I understand that you stopped receiving notifications from your Nest Doorbell a couple of days ago, you have already factory reset it and added it back to the account, but still no receiving notifications from the device even though you are receiving notifications from other devices like your Nest Yale Lock. No worries, help is here.
Here I have a couple of questions for you:
In the meantime, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:
Also, I will suggest you restart your WiFi router and check if there are devices that could be creating interference between the Nest Doorbell and the router, and check if your mobile device OS is up to date.
Please check the following articles: Nest notifications not working and Camera and doorbell alerts.
Tell me how it goes.
Regards,
Daniel.
