Nest Doorbell wired camera stops recording/showing playback before person gets to doorbell

I have this issue with ALL my nest cameras, it seems like it takes complete control to record a video rather than stream and record. Pain in the tail to have someone come up and ring the nest doorbell and then it shuts off the video to record vs live streaming. Missed quite a few visitors to the door when that happens.
