Nest Doorbell (wired) dropping wifi connections intermittently

Ahmed5

Hello,

I have had the Nest Doorbell several years and this just started happening in the last few months. The doorbell camera goes offline intermittently several times during the day. It seems to drop the wifi connection from the router and then again reconnect. This happens several times in 24 hours.  I've tried disconnecting, factory reset, moving the router closer, changing from 5Ghz to 2Ghz band etc. It doesn't see like it is the Wifi signal, since the signal seems to be pretty good. Not sure what else to try. Perhaps I need to update my firmware. How to make sure I have the latest firmware. Is this a hardware issue or something with the internal battery? I'm puzzled since it worked without issues for several years without any issues.

Hi Ahmed5,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To confirm, are you getting any error messages? Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the camera? Have you tried to reset your Nest Doorbell? Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Emerson
