Nest Doorbell

My husband installed the nest doorbell and invited me to join the home. When I join it shows the camera on my app but it says the camera is offline even though it shows up online on his. What did we do wrong?

I'm just another Google Nest customer who has seen multiple reports like yours, where a Google Nest device shows as "offline" to one household member but not to another. Some users have tried deleting and reinstalling their Google Home app and this has fixed the problem. In other cases, the problem just goes away, perhaps because it can also be an issue on Google Nest's servers. Sometimes it seems there's a delay before devices show as online for a newly linked user.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, as I can imagine it has been an inconvenience. I would love to look into this further for you. I would suggest restarting the device, your phone, and try to log out and log back in. If that doesn't work, have your husband try to remove you and add you back. Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,
Brad
