Nest Floodlight Cameras - Unable to connect to Google

When I try to add my Nest Floodlight camera to my system, i get an error stating "there was an issue contacting Google". If i change from using my Comcast wifi and use my cellular hotspot for wifi instead, I am able to setup my Floodlight camera fine. Google.com is able to be accessed by my comcast network without issues. Also, I have other Nest cameras that work fine on this comcast network. This issue is only with the new floodlight cameras I got.

I'm guessing my next step is to call Comcast and try to get them to track down the routing issue, but am unsure of the URL/website that is trying to be reached by the cameras. Can someone please let me know what website URL is used for the camera registration/pairing process? I'd greatly appreciate it!

Interesting. I have 6 floodlight/cameras, with Comcast, and had no issue. I do know that the new Nest battery cams transmit encrypted end to end but I do not know the API web references that they use, but the port could be blocked by the comcast router. Basically, these cameras are like mini "servers", serving video to the internet, and that could be an issue. My set up is a little different. I chose not to rent any equipment from Comcast and bought my own cable modem (already paid for itself), and I bought a really good Wi-Fi Router from ASUS (RT-AC86U) that had plenty of CPU power, long range and enough thruput to handle the video and everything else I have. It's clearly an issue with the router/modem that you have, and I am not quite sure what the port numbers are, maybe 443 (to view the cameras live from outside your home) and 1935 for transmission, but I could be wrong. There are a million settings for security and other data settings for modems and routers. I am sure it is something blocking on your device.
