Nest Hello wired doorbell not ringing indoor chime any more

My Nest Hello wired doorbell no longer rings the indoor chime.  It is not a digital chime.  The outdoor chime works and the camera/video works.

I have a background in electronics.  I have:

Replaced the indoor chime, upgraded to a new 30VA transformer, verified the voltage, did all of the quiet time/indoor chime iOS suggestions, factory reset.  I have removed it from Google Home and the Nest app and reinstalled it.  If I remove the wires from the back of the doorbell and touch them together, the chime works fine.  Seems the Nest Hello just can't make it chime. Other ideas?

Hi I'm experiencing the same issue. Checked that the voltage at the chime is 22V, meaning no issue at the transformer. When I bypass the google doorbell and just touch the doorbell red and white wires the chime works. Checked in the app no Quiet time no disabled chime. Tried reset and reinstall it no luck.

Camera works fine and the exterior google's own chime works and can change tones as specified in the app.

It's only less than a few weeks old.

Thanks miniludex3. If I don't get any suggestions in the next week, I am going to buy a new one and if that doesn't fix it, just return it and scratch my head....  Mine is an original Nest Hello.  It is several years old.

I got a new one today but only swapped the chime puck then it worked. I'd say after so many threads that I read online, the "normal" troubleshooting probably only resolve 20% of the chime failure, the rest is highly likely caused by the puck. Google needs a better process to get this thing replaced or purchased alone if out of warranty.

Sorry I spoke too soon, after ring twice, the chime no longer rings. I think the puck fired up again. So what should I do Google?

I replaced the whole unit through my retailer so it works now. I'm not sure now which part is at fault, anyway replacing the whole works now.

Thanks miniludex3.  I was hoping someone would have another solution but it looks like I'l  be purchasing a new unit too. Google, any suggestions?

This smells like a scam.

Hi I submitted the form. My Google doorbell wired 2nd no longer rings the inside chime again. It was the new unit replaced not long after that inside chime no longer works. Everything else works perfectly. I demand Google being back the first generation nest doorbell. I had that for years no issue. The 2nd gen product stop ringing the chime many times in a month
