You already tried what I would have suggested in checking if the power adapter is at fault, so the only things I can think of - and it's a long shot - is leaving it unplugged for some extended period of time like a few days and then try again if you haven't already. The other would be checking the physical connections for dirt, corrosion etc.s

I only see one answer. The string is gone even though I went to the nest section and it directed me to this string.
Is there a place to send the camera for evaluation to see if it is repairable? I have the same issue as the original post.

I have this exact same problem. I unplugged one camera and left it off for about 1hr while I was doing some cleaning. When attempting to turn it back on - it never did. I have waited over a week, tried plugging in and for a brief second there is a blue pulse but it never turns on. I've tried multiple outlets, even brought it to a different house to try out. Tried using a different Nest IQ cam cable. Nothing works. It was fine for over a year but for $400 plus state sales tax ($35+) I am beyond disappointed. And subscription to Ne$t Aware Plu$. None of the new cameras will work with my current setup as I do not want to only use the app exclusively - because one of my cameras also purchased and installed at the same time freezes up the app and I'm forced a reset whenever I open that camera view -- and it must be monited via laptop. Def sounds like planned obsolescence. Really fracking pissed off!!!

From the 1st Thermostat to the Outdoor HQ Smart Cameras, I watched the development and growth of NEST. I was an early adopter! I knew the developer was a former engineer from Apple and knew the technology would be second to none. Much like Apple, I had no issues purchasing the high priced hardware, because I knew the quality and that they would back the issues.
Then the GREEDY Monopoly, Google, purchased the company. Now they slap Googles name on the products and ruin the possibility of expanding or replacing the system.
This company is TOO BIG! Our country HAS to be real up about the behemoth monopolies who care only about taking over ALL technology.
There is no competition now, I have to find a camera system that is not as good but I will NOT put GOOGLE’S Eavesdropping CRAP in my house! I will NOT PURCHASE a google product if I can help it. I have also reached out to my Senators about this deal. What google has done to loyal Nest customers, who spent a lot of money on hardware and values high quality is horrible. Not backing the products is total B.S! Another SAD DAY in our Kleptocracy!!

Update: After about 2 weeks of leaving it unplugged, I went in and saved all my video Clips from my subscription then deleted them. I did a Hard Reset to the camera, waited a bit, and it reconnected to another cam. I'm not sure if it would have if there was not another camera to connect to but I'm glad it did. I'm glad someone suggested this because I wasn't sure what else to do.
