I can’t get my doorbell chime to play on the nest speaker. I have the visitor announcement turned on and it won’t allow me to turn the chime feature on.

The "Indoor chime" option is intended to enable ringing of an indoor doorbell chime, and is disabled if your battery doorbell is not wired to an indoor doorbell chime.
Is "Do not disturb" turned on for your Nest speaker? If so, you need to turn it off. Are your speaker and doorbell in the same Google Nest "home/structure"?

Unfortunately we do not have an indoor hardwired chime so I purchase the nest as a substitute so we can hear when someone is at the door.
The nest is not in Do not disturb mode.

If your Nest Mini is in the same Google Nest "home/structure" and you are NOT getting visitor announcements, you could try contacting Support using the link and instructions in the post below:
