Nest Wired Doorbell Peeling - common issue apparently

The doorbell is just under two years old. Thin plastic is peeling off the front. It’s not the plastic film from purchase (which was removed). Looks ugly. I bought it because it is the best looking doorbell (not anymore). Can you replace it?

@Mike909

Google Nest usually says they "cannot" replace peeling doorbells if they're past the 1-year warranty, but as @tsebastian suggested, you can try contacting Support to see what they san.

We bought silicone "skins" on Amazon to cover the peeling shards on two of our Nest Hello Doorbells.

I had a peeling doorbell and support told me this is a known situation so they can replace it regardless of the warranty but it's weird they told you the opposite

@tsebastian

I don't know. Maybe Google Nest had a change of heart. There are over 400 posts in this forum about peeling doorbells, going back at least a couple of years, and it seems most customers were told Google Nest could not replace them if they were beyond the 1-year warranty.
