Nest X Yale chime not "chiming"

I've only had my Nest X Yale for about a week. Today as we came home it didn't chime at unlock. I checked the app and my volume is set to high. Is this a known issue or is there a simple way to try to resolve this?

Follow the steps below to check if there is an update to the Nest app:


  1. Check for any Android system updates on your mobile device.
  2. Uninstall the Nest app.
  3. Restart the phone or tablet.
  4. Re-install the Nest app.
  5. Tap the Settings icon from the Nest app's home screen.
  6. Select your lock.
  7. Toggle the volume of the lock from high to low, then back to high.
