Just got a Nest outdoor camera with floodlight. I already have a wired Nest doorbell which works perfectly well with the Nest app. The new camera cannot be added to Nest only to Google Home. It wants a six-figure code from the back of the camera which simply doesn't exist. I'd much prefer using Nest but without the code the only other option is to scan the QR code which, guess what? takes me back to Google Home.
It is really ridiculous that a Nest camera cannot be added to Nest.
Can somebody please help. Please.

By design, the 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in Sept. 2021 can only be installed in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app. We discovered this 2 years ago when we bought a battery camera, and have been using 2 apps ever since.

Dear MplsCustomer, thank you for your reply. Google must be out of their minds. For a start what a stupid idea it is forcing people to use two apps, then to add insult to injury they call it Nest Cam when it cannot be operated in Nest. Wonder what's happened, Google usually is not this stupid. But thanks anyway I probably wouldn't have bought it had I known.
