Hi is it possible to train a nest cam to detect small children ?
The purpose is to create a zone where they cannot enter ( around the swimming pool ) when they are not accompanied by an adult.
Of course this is an extra security measure and by no means it takes away the responsability of an adult.
Most of the alarms sound when something falls in to the water. A smart camera can give an alarm before they go into the water.
An accident can happen really fast. Gr

Hi Vylem,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. You can create custom Activity Zones for your Nest Camera or Nest Doorbell for different types of activities that you want to be notified about. Just use the app to draw a zone around a specific area in your Nest Camera’s view. For instance, create a zone around a door if you want a notification when a person walks through it. The person who walks through the door Activity Zone also creates an event in your video history timeline. Let us know if you have other questions in mind.
Best,
Emerson

Hello Vylem,
I'm dropping by to ensure that everything is covered here. How's it going with your Nest Camera? Were you able to read the information and check the link I've shared? In case you have an update, you know where to find us.
Thanks,
Emerson

Hi, thx for tour reply.
the difficulty is not the zone creation but discovering the difference between grown ups and children that come into the zone. Gr sven

Hi Vylem,
Thanks for getting back to us. We appreciate your interest however, we don't have any news to share about applying this feature to the Nest app or Google Home app. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. I'd suggest you send feedback about your concern using this link to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this after 24 hours. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.
Thanks,
Emerson
