My Nest indoor camera has been fine for years and now in the last week it is completely missing whole events.
Note that this camera is placed facing our apartment entryway so missing events means missing a person opening a door, walking in, and doing things such as dropping off packages or picking up our dog for a walk.
How can a camera that is supposed to provide safety and security miss events like this?!
EDIT: For clarification, “missing an event” means no notification to my phone but most importantly no recording of the event whatsoever. With the removal of the 24/7 recording functionality this means the camera is unreliable and therefore useless. The device detects some events but misses others. I have already ensured that the device is pointed in the right direction and has power and wifi.
