Nest camera previews not showing with push notifications

I have several cameras connected to my Nest Aware account, however, recently I have noticed my cameras are not sending me video previews with push notifications like they use to. I still receive the notifications in my notification bar, there is just no clip of video. I have to open each notification to see what the video or notification was.

 

I have tried checking the notification settings, on both the phone and nest, the settings are correct. No changes have been made to the phone, the cameras or the home Wi-Fi network. I have verified my mobile device is up to date on operating software, and that the nest app is the most current version.

Hey there,


Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally. If that doesn't work, maybe factory resetting your Nest camera will do the trick. Make sure to look over that process before factory resetting.
