Nest camera thinks birds are a carbon monoxide alarm

Google is pretty smart, but apparently not smart enough to program their security listening code to know the difference between an electronic alarm and a bird. Now that spring is sproinging I get endless notifications about carbon monoxide alarms outside but it's always just horny avians. Ugh sometimes Google is so bone headed. Between this and not being able to mute notifications for familiar faces it's concerning how they miss these things.

I am having the same issue.  I didn't encounter this previously but starting this spring happens a few times a day.

Yes this happens every day to us too. We need a button or something to tell the assistant that it was not a carbon monoxide alarm, and was instead just the horny avians...

By the way this is only with our flood light camera, meaning the new devices. My original wired nest doorbell cameras do not get confused about birds.

Have you sent in feedback on this issue in the app? If not, I would suggest that you do! That goes straight to Google. As for the troubleshooting steps, have you tried to restart the cam and all that jazz?

Best regards,

Brad

I did not realize that you could give feedback through the app about the specific event. I am going to do that whenever this happens. Thanks!
